Corporate Partners


		TMA Alliance The primary support organization for the TMA and partners in efforts to perform many worthwhile community services, including health education and promotion, membership development, and legislation involving health and safety issues.

		TMA Insurance A TMA-owned insurance agency working for members, employees of members, as well as dependents of members and employees. The types of coverage offered are divided into Practice Insurance (coverage provided by the practice) and Individual Insurance (plans purchased by the individual member or employee).

		Tennessee Medical Foundation The TMF was created in 1978 to protect patients from identifiably impaired physicians and to afford impaired physicians every opportunity to be rehabilitated to productive medical practice. Physicians Health Program offers professional assistance to physicians suffering chemical dependence, mental or emotional illness, or both. The TMF is supported by charitable contributions from the TMA, SVMIC, various medical specialty and TMA county medical societies, as well as a large number of individual donors and hospitals.

		The Tennessee Medical Education Fund, Inc. Provides annual scholarships to Tennessee citizens attending Tennessee medical schools. The TMEF was established in 1963 to provide low interest loans Tennessee resident medical school students enrolled in Tennessee medical schools. In 1998, The Fund also began awarding scholarships restricted for medical school expenses only and are paid directly to the medical school in which the applicant is enrolled. 800-659-1862 or view the Fund's GuideStar Philanthropy Report.


		Independent Medicine Political Action Committee - Tennessee The bipartisan political action committee of the TMA. Its goal is to support pro-medicine candidates in their efforts to win election to public office by making direct contributions to pro-medicine candidates seeking election to the Tennessee Legislature or select statewide office.

		TPQVO A limited liability company owned by the TMA, the Chattanooga & Hamilton County Medical Society, The Knoxville Academy of Medicine, to provide credential verification services and centralized quality verification functions for hospital, nursing home, provider organization and managed care accreditation.


		State Volunteer Mutual Insurance Company A physician owned and operated mutual insurance company formed in 1976 to write medical professional liability insurance for physicians and surgeons.

		Navicure Navicure is a leading Internet-based medical claims clearinghouse that helps physician practices increase profitability through improved claims reimbursement and staff productivity.

		First Tennessee A regional bank with more than 200 bank locations in Tennessee.
