Physicians: National Rx Drug Take-Back Day Resources

Loading...
Physicians working to address Tennessee's prescription drug problem can use National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day to share resources with their patients for disposing of unused drugs.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has scheduled this national event for Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. local time. Doctors can share this website with their patients, and find tools and resources for their practices to help them encourage patients to safely dispose of their unused prescription medications.

The website includes a collection site locator to help find nearby drug take-back sites, as well as a Take-Back Day partnership toolbox with public service announcements, posters, billboards and web banners in both English and Spanish.

Visit the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day website.

Visit the TMA Public Health web page to see what the Association has done and is doing to address the state's prescription drug problem.
