Prescription Safety Program
The Tennessee Prescription Safety Program (PSP) is a coordinated statewide strategy addressing the phenomenon of prescription drug abuse in Tennessee. The program is made of three components: collaboration, education and technology. PSP is administrated by the Tennessee Foundation for Quality Patient Healthcare, a 501-c-3 organization under the Tennessee Medical Association, Tennessee largest professional organization of physicians. The program seeks to curtail abuse of prescription narcotics while assuring quality and accessibility of pain management services where medically appropriate.
