House of Delegates
The TMA House of Delegates is the official policy-making body of the Association. The HOD is comprised of representatives of component medical societies and specialty medical societies who debate and form the policies to direct the TMA and medicine in Tennessee. Your local society is your contact point for serving as a representative to the HOD.

Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is comprised of 27 members representing all eight regions of the state. The BOT is charged with carrying out the directives of the House of Delegates and overseeing the ongoing business of the TMA between HOD sessions. Contact the Board.

State Boards, Committees and Commissions
The TMA is routinely asked to nominate and recommend physicians to fill positions to numerous state boards, committees and commissions. For a complete list of requirements, call 800-659-1862, ext. 1665.

Member Meetings
The TMA hosts a variety of member meetings including quarterly Town Hall Meetings and MedTenn, the association’s annual meeting. Educational seminars and workshops tour the state to provide members with networking and educational opportunities. Check the TMA Calendar of Events for meeting updates.
