Meaningful UseThe American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 or “ARRA” created a funding opportunity for physicians to receive incentive funding through CMS Medicare or Medicaid programs to offset the cost of adoption of electronic health records. The one major requirement for incentive funding is to use a certified electronic health record in a “meaningful way”.
