Vendor Standards Program
The TMA is committed to providing educational information and access to resources for physician members who wish to adopt health information technology. In embracing this effort, the TMA has launched the electronic health record Vendor Standards Program (VSP). Created in 2011, The EHR VSP will provide physicians with a list of software vendors they may wish to consider for their practice. While we recognize there are hundreds of software vendors who have some version of their software certified by various boards, the TMA proudly recognizes our standards program participants due to their commitment to the TMA's physician membership.

Our VSP partners all have a product certified by the ONC ATCB (Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Bodies), and have agreed to the TMA's negotiated terms and conditions, adding a heightened level of industry best practices, training and special pricing thresholds. The TMA’s objective in creating this resource for physicians was to take some of the legwork out of vetting qualified vendors and to provide an added safety net and transparency in the contracting process.
Along with the VSP program, the TMA also has many resources for physicians such as downloadable toolkits, articles, webpage links and resource guides available on the right side of this page, to help you transition to electronic health information technology.
