Physician Employment Contracting

TMA is helping physicians avoid potential pitfalls when they choose to practice as employed physicians.

Trends show that the number of physicians becoming employees of a group practice or hospital is on the rise. But employment contracts are often laden with legalese and include provisions that can seem fair but ultimately favor the hospital system.

TMA and other medical associations are seeing physicians caught in pitfalls that limit compensation and ability to practice in an area after a fallout with their employer.
