All Member Virtual Meeting

Every third Thursday we host a virtual meeting to discuss an issue that is relevant to our members and physicians across the state. We'll invite multiple experts to give us their perspective on the issue. Pre-registration is required, but attendance is free. The next session will take place on June 17 at 6:30 pm CST. We will update this page with more information closer to date.

We will continue to communicate with you as we have new information.

Day on the Hill 2021

TMA's annual Doctors' Day on the Hill was held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. This event connects physicians directly with lawmakers so they can advocate for their patients and discuss major issues affecting the medical profession in Tennessee. Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, we hosted the event in a new virtual format.

Proper Prescribing Training

TMA helps doctors meet state medical boards’ requirements of two (2) CME hours of prescribing training. In our proprietary, accredited course, "Appropriate Prescribing in Tennessee," physicians will receive a comprehensive review of new definitions, state laws and other regulatory changes affecting pain management. Physicians renewing their license in 2022 are required to take a prescribing course by Dec. 31, 2021.
