The first vaccines to combat COVID-19 will soon be widely distributed in our state, and many Tennesseans have questions and concerns. To assist our fellow physicians and clinicians, TMA partnered with the Tennessee Department of Health to create and make available a CME class focusing on the science and types of technology of the new COVID-19 vaccines. This project is supported by an unrestricted educational grant provided by the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation.
We have enlisted Dr. Buddy Creech, MD, MPH, Vanderbilt Vaccine Research Program Director, and Dr. Michele Fiscus, MD, FAAP, TDoH's Immunization Program Medical Director, to lend their knowledge on the subject and be featured in this course. There is no cost, and it can be accessed at any time.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). The Tennessee Medical Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Tennessee Medical Association designates this for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
