TMA Calls for 2022 Committee Volunteers

Nashville, TN – TMA is in need of several volunteers to participate in our committees for 2022. Overall, TMA has eight committees who meet quarterly to discuss issues that impact the organization. Each committee includes participants from each region in the state. Participants can either be nominated by the metro societies or volunteer.

PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS

Charge: Promotes and maintains relationships between the association and other professional organizations; promotes the policies, projects and image of the TMA and oversees the internal and external communications processes between the TMA and its constituencies.

MEMBERSHIP AND RECRUITMENT

Charge: Responsible for coordinating recruitment efforts within the state. Committee members actively recruit peer physicians to join TMA, provide ideas for engaging and retaining existing members, and assist TMA staff and component societies in developing and implementing programs to grow overall membership.
Need two Region 2 representatives, one Region 5 representative, and one Region 6 representative

INSURANCE ISSUES

Charge: Monitors and addresses all insurance issues, both government and commercial, affecting physicians, practices and patients in Tennessee. This includes reimbursement, regulation and policy changes, lawsuit settlements, contracting issues, networks, pay for performance, workers compensation, etc.
