We empower Tennessee's physicians through innovative leadership development, targeted education and strategic initiatives that help doctors navigate today's healthcare challenges while putting patients first. When physicians thrive as leaders, patients and communities thrive, and that's the foundation of everything we do.
The Tennessee Foundation for Quality Patient Healthcare (TFQPH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by the Tennessee Medical Association (TMA) to make this vision a reality.
Mission: To improve patient care by empowering Tennessee’s physicians through innovative strategies, leadership development and education.
Vision: TFQPH will inspire and equip Tennessee physicians to lead with compassion, collaborate with purpose and provide care for communities through innovative strategies transforming health across our state.
Programming
Leadership Training
Established in honor of Dr. John Ingram, the Ingram Institute aims to equip doctors with the necessary skills to lead effectively in the evolving healthcare landscape, including programs and resources that are tailored to meet the unique needs of physicians at various stages in their careers. These programs encompass leadership development, strategic management, communication skills, and other essential leadership competencies. The curriculum is designed to empower physicians with the tools required to navigate organizational challenges, inspire teams, and drive positive change in healthcare delivery.
Opioid Education: Know More
With a $1.5 million grant from the Tennessee Opioid Abatement Council, TFQPH is leading a three-year statewide initiative to combat opioid misuse through our Know More/No More program. Our comprehensive approach provides free prescriber education on evidence-based practices and responsible prescribing protocols, coupled with community outreach to expand public awareness.
Resident Job Board
The Resident Job Board is the first step in making this vision a reality. By creating simple connections between Tennessee's medical residents and TMA member practices statewide, we are making it easier for residents to discover opportunities right here at home. Through these connections, we are building the foundation for Tennessee's healthier future.
