Annual Meeting and House of Delegates
TMA's Annual Meeting and House of Delegates gives physicians from across the state an opportunity to gather as a professional group to present and debate policies that affect the practice of medicine and the delivery of patient care in Tennessee and across the country.
The next Annual Meeting and House of Delegates will take place May 1-2, 2026 at the Marriott Cool Springs in Franklin, TN. Non-delegate members will be now allowed to attend non-HOD related events during the weekend. This change was recently made by TMA's Board of Trustees and will be new for 2026.

NEW FOR 2026: TMA is launching a new Annual Meeting format designed to provide additional opportunities for education and engagement. New programs include:
Issues Forum
A policy-focused seminar featuring a deep-dive on two to three major health care issues affecting Tennessee physicians and patients. Thought leaders from various industries would be invited to participate in panel discussions to educate members on current and emerging topics, such as Medicaid financing, private equity, AI in healthcare or maternal health.
Topics will be announced in the coming months so check back for more information.
Resolution Review Sessions
A cross-sectional convening of attendees designed to provide more time to review and discuss resolutions without the formality of the House. Delegates would be split into three groups to examine resolutions within an assigned category (e.g. public health, patient care, etc.). The purpose of these sessions is not to revise, amend or consolidate resolutions, but rather to provide an additional educational opportunity to help develop more representative policy outcomes.
