Six in 26 Campaign
TMA is a member-led organization and is dues-driven. The association cannot advance the mission without more members. This is where you fit in as a key player in TMA's new member recruitment strategy.
TMA challenges all Board members, Membership Committee members and CMS presidents with less than 50 members to recruit six new dues-paying members to join in 2026. TMA challenges all Metro presidents and CMS presidents with 50 members or more to champion a 6% increase in dues paying members. If you are successful, you will receive TMA’s Ambassador for Organized Medicine Award. Below are several helpful resources including conversation guides, important links, TMA's membership video and staff contacts.Â
Please review the drop-down menus below to check if your CMS has less than 50 members or more than 50 members.Â
Those who achieve the title of Ambassador of Organized Medicine will receive an ambassador pin, a badge at TMA’s Annual Meeting and association recognition.
Your leadership in the association is highly valued and appreciated. Through reaching new members, you will increase your ability to contribute to the future of organized medicine in Tennessee.Â

The process:
- Ask for your list from TMA. Contact us at anjanette.eash@tnmed.org.
- List will include nonmember physicians in your area (or specialty)
- TMA will send you a list with contact information (email and phone where available)
- Choose your contact method (see Contacting Nonmembers below)
- Reach out (see Contacting Nonmembers below)
- Record your progress (see Recording Your Progress below)
- If it is a physician in your practice, have a conversation. The conversation flowchart or member resources page can guide you on topics or conversation starters
- If it is a physician you know from the community or practice, please gauge whether you want to reach out via email or phone. An email template is available here.
- If it is a physician you do NOT know, please gauge whether you want to reach out via phone or email. Another option would be to invite them to a component medical society meeting or event.
When you reach out to a nonmember, please note your effort so TMA staff can follow up.
- If you have an in-person conversation, please note it here.
- If you reach out via phone, please note it here.
- If you reach out via email, please cc Anjanette Eash, TMA Membership Director (anjanette.eash@tnmed.org)
