Prescription Assistance

The Tennessee Medical Association's TN Medical and Pharmaceutical Council serves as a focus group for the TMA to provide strategic, advocacy and regulatory ideas on lowering the cost of medical care for patients, preventing barriers to patient medical care and improving relations in Tennessee between manufacturers and physicians. Below are companies that offer tools and resources to help physicians with prescription drug prices.

Medical Assistance Tool (MAT)

PhRMA’s Medicine Assistance Tool is a web platform designed to help patients, caregivers and health care providers learn more about some of the resources available to assist in accessing medicines. These include various biopharmaceutical industry programs offered to those who need financial support due to their lack of insurance or inadequate prescription medicine coverage. It also helps people learn more about the costs surrounding their medicines, as well as provides resources to help them better navigate their insurance coverage. MAT is not its own patient assistance program, but rather a search engine for many of the support programs and resources that the biopharmaceutical industry has been offering for decades.

Rx4Miracles also generates funds which go back to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to support their efforts to improve and change pediatric healthcare and its impact on kids, families, and communities. Funds granted through our partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals help deliver specialized care, critical research, equipment, and resources necessary for hospital teams to provide life-saving care to the children in our community.
